What is Pilates?
Pilates is a comprehensive system of exercises that the late Joseph Pilates developed and was originally known as ‘The Art of Contrology.’ It emphasises control of the body and the mind-body connection, focusing on developing core strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through precise and controlled movements.
So, what can you expect:
The Studio: You will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of Pilates with the guidance of our experienced teachers and become familiar with the wide range of Pilates equipment and experience a whole new way of working out using springs.
If you prefer to begin with the Matwork, available online, you’ll get to explore the full repertoire of primarily floor-based exercises and transitions. It’s a wonderful way to discover a whole new movement experience!
